Team Builder

If you are a free agent or have a partial team and are looking to make a full team for NGL Orlando, DON'T WORRY! We will be having 2 sessions of "Team Builder" (1 for the 2v2 competition and 1 for the 4v4 competition) specifically for this situation. Team Builder will begin 30 minutes before event.

In the mean time you can post in the Online Team Builder forum to let players know you are available to meet-up/match-up with other partial teams and free agents.

Free For All Event

All rounds will end after 10 minutes or when one player reaches 50 points, whichever comes first.

The Free For All event will be the the 1st event of the day. The best individual placement from any player on a 4v4 team will determine that team's seeding in the 4v4 bracket. (More teammates playing FFA means a better chance of earning a higher seed.)

You are NOT required to be on a 4v4 team to play in the FFA. FFA is open to all spectators and individual players.

Every round will be an 8-player free-for-all with the top 4 players advancing to the next round. We will total every player's performance across the entire FFA event then rank players in this order:

Kills - Most to Fewest

Deaths - Fewest to Most

Assists - Most to Fewest

If 2 players happen to tie in all three categories, the winner will be the player with the most headshots. (If you notice you have tied with another player for a top 4 position in your heat, please notify the referee, as these instances can be easy to miss.)

The only exception to this sorting rule is for the Final FFA match where the top 4 players will immediately earn seeds 1 - 4 for their respective team regardless of sorted rank (above).

Any player who does not earn a top 4 spot in their first round match will have the opportunity to buy back into the bracket for half the cost of a FFA Pass.

4v4 Team event

NGL's main event is the 4v4 Tournament which is the final event of the day. The 4v4 tournament will be a double elimination event.

Each match-up will consist of a "Best of 3" series except for finals matches which will be a best of 5 series. Seeding for the 4v4 bracket will be determined by the FFA results (see Free-for-all above for more details).

One entry into the FFA event is included with every purchase of a 4v4 Team Pass to ensure every team has a seed player. The other 3 players are encouraged to play in the FFA event as NGL will take to top performing player from each team when determining seeds.

2v2 event

The 2v2 event is the 2nd event of the day and is based on a single elimination bracket. All 2v2 gametypes will be 8-minute, team slayer games and a match will be best 2 of 3 series.

The 2v2 event will be randomly seeded. The higher seeded team will host the first game while the opposing team will have choice of color.

Any team who loses in their first round match will have an opportunity to buy back into the 2v2 event for half the cost of the 2v2 pass.
